Chicago Transit Authority, also known as CTA, is the operator of mass transit within the City of Chicago, Illinois and some of its surrounding suburbs....
.
Route Types:
- X before number indicates an express route, making fewer stops.
- L after number (as in 53AL) indicates the route is a Limited, making fewer stops.
- A, B, E, H, N, or W after number indicate a separate route, but along the same street or direction as its companion route.
- N before number indicates night owl, overnight service. (55N and 90N are not Owl routes.)
- All CTA bus routes are wheelchair accessible .
