Raven (game show)
Raven was a multi-BAFTA-winning BBC Scotland children's adventure game show that aired on CBBC in the UK and on BBC Kids in Canada from 2002 to 2010 over the course of ten series, with three spin-off series. It is hosted by James Mackenzie in the title role, who conducts a group of children, known...

. Warriors are listed in their finishing position, so that for each week, entries at the bottom finished last, and entries at the top finish first. The final week warriors also change emblems for the final week so as not to clash with each other.
  • Yellow cells indicate those two winners who go through to the final week, and gold denotes the ultimate warrior for the final week winner.
  • Blue cells show those few warriors that have completed Way of the Warrior.
  • Red cells indicate injuries or retirements.

Series 1 (2002)

The first series aired at the end of 2002 as a brand-new show for the new digital channel, there was an advert for the first ever series that came on the CBBC Channel where Raven was saying if one of the warriors can prove to be the Champion he is searching for then that warrior will be richly rewarded there were clips of the warriors in the advert doing the challenges and there was a clip of Gaale swimming in the Deep Loch and one of Daala and Intho getting lost in the forest the advert was also saying what the warrior's needed quest qualites such as Skill and Courage CBBC

of specific colour to identify them and match their standards: mauve, sky blue, tree green, pure black, pale brown or olive green. Raven's appearance was markedly different, with a featherless blue/black jacket and limited facial hair, whilst Raven himself was much more comedic, sarcastic and friendly with the warriors, whilst still retaining his respectful nature towards them. Lacking his Staff of Power from later series, he would give and take lives using the metal clip on his middle finger. The tournament rules also differed: on the final day of each week, a warrior completing a challenge would win back a life, and no lives would be lost for failing this is the only series in which the warriors did not have the emblems it is also the only series where the warriors did not have the demon square challenge.

Two warriors were forced to retire early. Gaale was forced to quit on the final day of the first week. Having initially hurt her knee in Stepping Stones on day three, she later hurt it again at the Castle on day four, and withdrew on day five. Sejen, who had been knocked out the day before, replaced her, taking back her score but despite moving from a distant 3rd to first by the final challenge, did not go through to the final. In week two, Kefra was too ill to carry on in the quest, and was replaced by new warrior Racar, who was eliminated the day after. Racar and Boyan are the only warriors of the whole series to have lost all their lives, although they did so at the end of the day after failing the Way of the Warrior, a challenge which no one completed this series, Bryal got the closest as he made it to the swinging blades. Adluk is the only warrior not to have won any rings.
Challenges that returned after this series include Way of the Warrior Eyeless Demons Leap of Faith Deep Loch Stepping Stones Treasure Ring Riddle Bridge Blasted Mountain High Walk and Thrall Demons

Series 2 (2003)

The second series aired at the end of 2003 and introduced a number of notable changes. Emblems for each warrior were introduced, each consisting of a different element or geological feature: sun, water, tree, moon, cloud or the mountain. Raven's appearance changed, introducing a black feathered cape, fringed hair and a Staff of Power to give and take lives, and restore fallen warriors. Also introduced were the exchange of seven rings for a life, and Raven's nemesis, Nevar, was introduced at the Last Stand as guardian of the portal.

At last the impossible Way of the Warrior was conquered twice this series, with Ishal completing it on day four of week three; her second attempt in the final week proved less successful after failing at the swinging boulders. Varna then completed it on the final day, putting him forward to the final Last Stand. Roska is the only warrior of the whole series to momentarily have no lives whilst still in the course of his quest. With one life and six rings, he failed Dragon's Roost and lost his final life; however, having taken two rings in the challenge, the life was restored, saving him from elimination. In this series all three wave warriors made it to the final. In this series stepping stones returned but was played different this time the Warrior's would race in 2's jump through the hoop and swim to collect the gold treasure ring on the skull but any warrior who failed to collect the ring or fell off the stones into the Water would loose a life Kinia beat Roska to the ring Luaha got to the ring after Oklar slipped off and lost her balance and both Napat and Ghada slipped off before they could jump through the hoop and swim to the treasure ring.If Ishal had completed the Way of the Warrior the first time then Dyasa would have made it to Day 5 and it would have marked the first ever time a warrior with the Moon Emblem made it to day 5 of the week and the first time in this series where there were 2 male warrior's on Day 5 and 1 female.Varna is the first warrior to wear the Wave Emblem in his heat then the Mountain Emblem in his final with Rimah from Series 8 being the second.

Series 3 (2004)

For the third series, which began airing in November 2004, the emblems were once again tweaked a small amount; Raven's hair was styled upwards, and has remained in this fashion since. The emblems that the warriors wore were once again changed and this time took a more realistic form. Worjo was the only warrior to complete The Way of the Warrior this series, and like Varna of the previous series, he did so on the final day, putting him forward to compete in the final Last Stand. Denat was forced to retire early in the final day of Week 3 when he pulled a ligament in his arm climbing the tree in High Walk, and was replaced by eliminated warrior Maska from Week 2, who left the same day after failing the Last Stand. Teyro was the first warrior to wear the water emblem and not go through to the final week.In the final week when Serpent's Eye was played warrior's who hit the target as well or instead of the eye would also win gold rings. Jaddo is the first Warrior to wear the Moon Emblem in his heat and then the Mountain Emblem in his final with Reggos from Series 9 being the second. In the final week if a warrior hit at least one of their arrows on to the board in serpent's they would not only preseve a life they would gain at least 1 ring depending on how many arrows you hit the target with and if you hit the eye in the final week you would gain at least 2 rings and more also depending how many times you hit the eye Jaddo hit the eye twice and gained 4 rings he is the first ever warrior to hit the serpent's eye twice and gain 4 rings with Rohak from Series 6 being the second ever to do so.In this series Challenges that were new include Enchanted Stream,Water Demon,Milstone Towers,Troll Trap,Gold Rush,Balance Beam, Ring Rock , and Serpent's Eye. Challenges that were only played in this series and that did not return were Gold Rush Troll Trap and Ring Rock.Brena became the first ever female warrior to wear the Moon Emblem and the first one also to make it in to the final's as well. Emsa completed with the most amount of lives to ring ratio of the series.

Series 4 (2005)

Changes in the fourth series, airing from November 2005, include bolder designs for emblems that have remained as such to the present series, and their increased use in the show, such as the entrance to the Way of the Warrior. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A5404231 The opening theme music, along with music used between challenges, was updated; the number of lives, and rings needed to regain one, was changed to nine.

Kinsa managed to complete the Way of the Warrior this series. Dejan used to hold the record for the maximum lives and rings until Jenwin, of series 9 overtook him, Dejan himself got to fifteen rings and all nine lives. Linma managed to come back from last place in the final Last Stand, having been released from the cages behind the other two warriors, to win the challenge and become Ultimate Warrior. Dejan was slightly ahead of Kinsa by the end of the race - when Linma triumphed Kinsa was slotting in her cylinder but Dejan was turning his to match the pictures. This series was also the first to have all three of the tree warriors making it to the final. In Week 2 Volna completed Snake Pit all by himself after his 2 team mates Gajes and Wilga fell off the board's and he gained a maximum six golden rings and it was the first ever time any warrior had won that many rings Volna shared this record with Simal who beat him in the Pole Climb Challenge and who also gained a maximum six golden rings despite dropping the first and giving a big 'Whoops' sound Simal became the second warrior to ever gain six rings until on Day 5 in Demon Causeway when he gained 4 rings on the causeway and 3 on the golden square which meant he beat the record he had with Volna by gaining a Maximum seven rings which is the most amount of rings any warrior has won which is a record and Simal is the only ever Warrior to gain 7 rings in one challenge. Oddly, in Week 3 instead of 3 Warriors of both genders there were only 2 Female Warrior's (Tharo and Darna) and 4 male (Halat, Malna, Wenra and Linma). In both his heat and his final Dejan beat all of his opponents in Balance Beam; however, when he played it in the final was on Day 2 with all 6 Warrior's and beat every single opponent and it was the second ever time any warrior had managed to defeat all 5 other opponents in a row and then gain 5 rings for winning,While Nosoo being the first. Dejan is also the first warrior to wear the Tree Emblem in his heat and then the Mountain Emblem in his final with Sonlu from Series 5 being the second and Sonos from Series 7 being the third all of which are male warrior's and finalist's

Kinsa was voted best Raven warrior by Rivington Park Independent School in 2008 after watching the series being repeated.

Series 5 (2006)

Series 5 (2006)
No one completed Way Of The Warrior in this series. The closest people were Leja and Obra who reached the spiked barrel. In week 3 Kyson started the Last Stand before his fellow warriors but was overtaken by Suhan because he forgot his cylinder. In week 2 Milvad never got into the final week because Molyn managed to overtake him and get through the portal first. In this series all three of the cloud warriors made it to the final. From this series and onwards the Warrior's would have 5 Challenges to do both on Day 1 and Day 5 as well as Day 2 3 and 4 also from this series and onwards the Warrior Emblem's became more prominent and were featured in Challenges wear the Warrior would have to race and pull down the banner with their emblem on in order to gain there standard.

Series 6 (2007)

The sixth series aired in March 2007 and introduced new music between challenges. As with the previous series, no one completed the Way of the Warrior; Tezan, Tonesh and Kerud reached the farthest point: the second shield. Rohak came close to the record number of rings, with thirteen rings and all nine lives intact but then Jenwin beat the record and Rohak was put into 3rd place for highest number of lives and rings. This series along with series 7 and 9 was the closest it has been to having one warrior of each symbol making it to the final. Had Melka made it instead of Tonesh then it would have had every symbol making it through at least once.Tezan is the first female warrior to wear the Mountain Emblem in the final because all the other finalist's in the other series before who had the mountain emblem in the final were male and apart from Tezan the only other female finalist to wear the Mountain Emblem in the final is Limonn from Series 10.Nejad and Lamil were the only 2 Warrior's in this series to have grabbed all 3 rings in the Leap of Faith everybody else who leaped either grabbed 1 ring or none at all also Ilan was the only warrior not to make the leap because he was to scared and his fear of heights was to big so he failed and lost a life but even if he did complete he would have still been in Last Place with 5 Lives and less rings then Fera and still had to do Way of the Warrior also if Ilan had completed it then it would have been the first time a warrior in last place completed every single challenge in the day but still remained in last position and still had to do the Way of the Warrior. Coincidentally each Warrior who went out first on day 2 of each week of this series was male also if Kerud had picked the black feather on day 3 of week 1 instead of Galna then all 3 male warrior's with the moon emblem from Week 1 2 and 3 Kerud Branic and Ilan would have all been eliminated on Day 3.Warrior Aken from Week 3 with the Red Hair and the Tree Emblem who's real name is Jake also made an appearance on another BBC Show Called Wondeful World of Weird.Coincidentally Kerud Branic and Ilan from Week 1 2 and 3 are all male and all had the Moon Emblem they also all failed in Nevar's Eye and Ring Rack on Day 2 but all succeeded in Zip Line on Day 3.

Series 7 (2008)

Series 7 began on 28 January 2008 and introduced several new changes. The warriors' outfits were updated, and now included a padded top (to ward off the winter cold as this was the first series to be shot in winter), and the colours were altered slightly. The emblems were given new prominence in the show, and the story behind their creation was detailed before the title sequence on the first day of each week, explaining how the symbols were used to restore light and sorcery to Raven's homeland before Nevar rose to threaten the land once more. Before a warrior undertakes a challenge, the emblem is displayed along with their warrior name. Special effects were also improved as the series was filmed for the first time in HD (High Definition

), as was the music between challenges, comprising a new theme as well as improved versions of those from the three previous series.

The Way of the Warrior was also changed, switching the positions of the blades and the shields. Once again, no-one completed the challenge, but the warrior who reached the furthest point was Danil, who got to the last closing jaw before the portal, before grazing his leg against the side - the closest a warrior has come to completing the challenge since the series four victor, Kinsa. During the final week, the warrior in last place faced the Way of the Warrior starting from the first day, rather than the second, as in previous series; this was done to ensure only two warriors would remain on the final day. Danil, Lenat and Anmah were in the first all-boys final at the end of the week after Ardhu Dylar and Vansha were eliminated.

This series also had one of the closest ever finishes on the Last Stand in week two. Despite being in last place Danil entered the portal first and Anmah and Lenat remained. Anmah, who had been in first place, was ahead of Lenat for most of the challenge but had trouble connecting his cylinder to the rope line, allowing Lenat to catch up. It was then up to who slotted their cylinder in first and Lenat ultimately beat Anmah to the portal by about one second. Anmah was then blasted by Nevar just as he was about to enter the portal. Lenat is the first warrior to have the water symbol in the final and to not reach the final 3 and the first male 1 also . In both her heat and the final, Hanso started day 5 leading, but failed all of the day's trials, causing her to have to face the Last Stand significantly behind.

This series became the first and only ever where there 5 male finalist's and 1 female if Lipra had made it to the final's instead of Hanso then it would have been an all male final round with 6 male finalist's and there would have been at least 1 male finalist for the first ever time that had the sun as their second and new emblem

Challenges that were new to this series that did not return in later series were Spider's Web Loch Leap Cliff Face Target Run Wrestling Ring Fire Water The Chasm Boulder Run and Lava Pitt

In this series Ring Rack returned but was only played once in the final week similar to when the Deep Loch Challenge was only played once in the final week of series 4

Series 8 (2008)

Series 8 was the first series to be filmed in the new location of Aviemore.Phidel led in the whole of the final except for the Last Stand. In week 1, Linzar,Wexar and Pargan lost raft race due to a faulty raft.In the second week, Druan and Thyran both lost a life in long staff. When in series 10, Sarjed and Limonn did exactly the same thing on pontoon pursuit, and they both got a ring.Sarpes, Phidel and Sonaj were the first warriors to have an all girl final 3.After Rodan, Venrav and Wymal were eliminated. All 3 normal week Moon warriors came fourth.Quilam, Almar and Wymal. In Way of the Warrior Linzar and Venrav were the only non - final week warriors not to fail at the rotating blades. They failed at the swinging Gate.

Series 9 (2009)

Series 9 was filmed in the same location as the series 8, Aviemore in the Scottish Highlads. Lamald, Wenod and Javmay got the furthest in the Way Of The Warrior by getting to the shields. Apart from them, only Tridic and Harsam got passed the rotating blades, each failing at the start of the barrel. Forell and Reggos made the quickest exit by falling off the first swinging log at the start of the challenge. Yercas was the only warrior of Series 9 to touch the rotating blades.
There was a new jigsaw in The Last Stand, which when completed made a ramp leading up the shields the warriors need to pass through the portal.

In week 3, Yenja was replaced by Tridic. This is the first time a warrior has been replaced by a warrior of the opposite gender. Tridic is also the first replacement warrior to make it to the final due to keeping the number of rings and lives Yenja had before he left. Jenwin was the first warrior to get an eleventh life, which equals 9 lives and 18 rings. This beats Dejan's record by three rings. From this series and onwards if a warrior had all 9 lives intact and had at least 9 rings and more instead of exchanging the ring hord for a life when they lost their first challenge they would be able to gain and exchange them for an extra 10th life which meant that they could add up to more than just 9 lives which is good because the more lives they gain the less chance and danger of eliminiation they have.

The Last Stand in the final was very close, with Dyrel knocking the final gate down just seconds before Bertar.

Series 10 (2010)

Like series 8 and 9 this Series was filmed in Aviemore. This series introduced seven letter names (Yathans being the first) whereas before the maximum was six. Once again, no-one completed the Way of the Warrior. Bornos made it to the furthest point, failing at the second shield. Apart from her, Hunwen was the only warrior to pass the rotating blades, failing at the end of the barrel, whilst Klayran and Coprov failed at the blades. Samjen and Yathans made the fastest exit falling at the red blade. The Week 1 Last Stand the closest Last Stand ever, with Coprov beating Lendil to the portal by less than a second. Since series 2 and this series every warrior in the finals that had the sun emblem was female there has never been male warrior to wear the sun emblem in the final round. In week 2 of Warriors Race Bornos and Cleral were equally tied in second place by pulling their banners down at exactly the same time so they both gained 2 rings each. Limonn, Grolath, and Dallraw were the Second Warriors to have an all 3 girl final after Gweltam, Hunwen, and Klayran were eliminated.
