The Maguire's living in Chatsworth causes trouble for Lip when they try to lure him into the family business.

After a few harsh words from Frank and with the departure of Monica. Kelly and Mimi continue to come to blows until Kelly delivers Mimi some home truths about the mess of her family, Leading to a startling revealation that could rock the entire family.

The Gallaghers receive a letter from Liam's school saying that he has been shortlisted on a scheme for a fast track education. Meanwhile Mimi vows to keep Paddy on the straight and narrow following the revealation of his addiction but the urge for heroin is too strong for Paddy to take. Will he betray his wife and family? Mickey and Maxine grow closer because they both want to get Carl into bed. Karen is guilt ridden following her night of passion with Mandys boyfriend. Joe. and things between her and Jamie hit breaking point.

When Jamie learns of Joe's abuse towards Mandy. he see's red and beats Joey up in front of the crowded Jockey. Meanwhile Frank wins the Jockey teams football match and saves Paddy from a heroin overdose. Mickey is blackmailed by a police officer who wants him for sex. Realising the family business is in grave danger. Jamie steps up and takes over the Maguire family.
