. It is a few kilometers east of the Lars family home, west of the bustling spaceport
of Mos Eisley
, and primarily consists of moisture farmers. It is also the location of the Tosche Station.
Anchorhead was founded when the Old Republic sought valuable mineral resources on Tatooine's surface. Fort Tusken and Anchorhead were the first Republic settlements on the planet.
Anchorhead serves as the setting for a series of scenes, deleted from Episode IV
, that depict the early life and associations of Luke Skywalker
. These deleted scenes, which are found in the novel and comic book versions of Star Wars: A New Hope, collectively form the Anchorhead Story of Star Wars.
In the LucasArts
game Star Wars Galaxies
, Anchorhead is described as a town in which those sympathetic to the Rebels
can walk out in the open, and noted that "If there was any town on Tatooine that was the farthest from Imperial
rule, Anchorhead would be the one."
Anchorhead also appeared in the LucasArts
video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
, where Anchorhead was the Tatooine
landing site for the player's ship, the Ebon Hawk. Anchorhead was depicted as an early mining community and hunting station. It was run by the popular Czerka Corporation and was famous for wraid hunting, swoop racing, and mining. The mining operation, however, was not going too well, since Tatooine
did not have any valuable resources and the Sand People often terrorized mining activity, discouraging miners. Those miners, or similar ones, would later leave behind the Sandcrawlers that the Jawas now use.

Iziz is a city with large walls built to keep dangerous beasts from attacking the native Onderonians. After some time, a Sith
Lord named Freedon Nadd arrived, bringing the dark side to Onderon. He successfully proclaimed himself king, and his rule was so firm that hundreds of years later, all the ruling families of Onderon would be descended from him.
Iziz used to throw out criminals into the wild to be destroyed by the beasts as a judicial punishment; but over time the criminals learned to control and tame the beasts. They would even form a rival city called "Modon Kira" (under, and named after, the beast lord Modon Kira). From this city, they waged war on Iziz and the ruling family, in a prolonged series of conflicts known as the Beast Wars. Eventually, Jedi
Knights were dispatched to mediate a settlement, but they, under Ulic Qel-Droma, ended up deposing the ruling couple, Queen Amanoa and Ommin.
Five years after the Jedi Civil War, Iziz was thrown into an internal civil war of its own when a power struggle within the Onderonian royal family erupted. The planet and city were split between Queen Talia and her cousin General Vaklu when the uprising began. The victor enlisted the help of the Jedi Exile and his followers. In the canonical Light side ending, the Exile intervened on behalf of the Queen, eliminating Vaklu's traitors.
Iziz appeared in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.

on Tatooine
, Mos Eisley is located roughly 50 miles north from Anchorhead, and located near the Desert Palace of Jabba the Hutt
. Obi-Wan Kenobi
described it as a "wretched hive of scum and villainy." It is the home of the Mos Eisley Cantina
(also known as Chalmun's Cantina), the Jango Fett
sports arena, and the Imperial Garrison Base. Mos Eisley is the meeting spot for Luke Skywalker
, Obi-Wan, and Han Solo

.
, that is very similar to Mos Eisley, known for its distinct "desert-proof" domed buildings. It is home to a podracing track where the infamous Boonta Eve Classic takes place. It was also the home of Anakin and Shmi Skywalker in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
. There was a large slave quarter within the rugged city. The ancient monument of Ksar Hadada
in southern Tunisia
was used as the location for the exterior shots.
. Like all the other Gungan cities, it is made up of bubbles that keep air in but keep water out. However, pushing through the bubbles will grant one access to its interior. The city is made up of many of these bubbles. It is visited by Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn
and Obi-Wan Kenobi
in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
. They were the first outsiders to visit the city in Gungan history.
The city's Gungan inhabitants played a large role in the pre-Clone Wars conflict known as the Battle of Naboo. Relatively at peace and neutral, during the Clone Wars Otoh Gunga was attacked by Imperial Forces and partly destroyed. The Gungans surrendered, and made a puppet state of the new Empire, but appointing mainly human officials. With a new social ladder in place, the Gungans were soon driven to poverty and many left the city to the surface.
Otoh Sancture appeared in the game Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and its sequel.
. It was run by the Cobral family for many years, until a government took its place.
.
. Much like the better known Cloud City, it is a Tibanna gas mining facility that exists as a floating city in the clouds.
Tibannopolis is an older city than Cloud City, and was far less successful. It lacked the extensive storm warning systems that kept Cloud City safe, and what little systems it did have were scrapped or salvaged fairly early in the city's life. By the time of the Battle of Yavin it had been largely abandoned, leaving a population of a handful of hermits, transients, smugglers, and freelance Tibanna gas miners. By this time, most of the city had been scavenged by visitors and inhabitants, leaving a skeletal framework with many twisted support girders and cut or damaged bulkheads. The entire city appeared to be structurally unsound, and visitors would have serious doubts about the safety of landing their ships on the rickety landing platforms.
Due to lack of maintenance, by 11 ABY, one of the four repulsorlift generators for the city had failed, and at that time it was estimated that the entire city would fall into the depths of Bespin from complete repulsorlift failure by 16 ABY. It is not clear if this failure happened and if the city survived beyond this point.

The city suffered from over twenty-five battles, which turned it from a sprawling, yet elegant metropolis into a slum. The Melida and Daan dug a series of tunnels during the battles, which were inhabited by a youth pacifist group known as the Young. Moreover, the city itself features numerous Halls of Evidence, or tombs, for dead soldiers.
Once Obi-Wan Kenobi
and the Young reunited the Melida and Daan factions, the city of Zehava began rebuilding. Its current status has not been explored by any published sources.
