It was also simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation's anime portal. This series is also licensed by Funimation and will be released on home video during 2011. The anime series focuses on the 501st Joint Fighter Wing of Strike Witches, magical girls who must fight against an alien race called the Neuroi that is trying to take over the world.
The opening theme for the first series is by Yoko Ishida
