, and is filmed primarily in Melbourne, at locations around the city where the real-life events occurred. Following the success of Underbelly, the Nine Network commissioned a second series - A Tale of Two Cities
, which was then followed by The Golden Mile
and Razor
.
To avoid confusion with the other series, especially since the international release of the original, Underbelly has since been retroactively named with a subtitle and subsequently promoted as Underbelly: War on the Streets.
