. A civil parish is an historical geographical sub-division of the barony and should not to be confused with an Ecclesiastical parish.
Note 1: An enclave of the civil parish of Kilfithmone is the townland of Coolgort. It is almost entirely cut off from the barony being sandwiched between the baronies of Ikerrin and Kilmanagh Upper.
Note: While most of the town of Nenagh is located in Ormond Lower, the civil parish of Nenagh is almost evenly split between the baronies of Upper and Lower Ormond.
Note: Three townlands of the civil parish of Monsea lie in the barony with the bulk of the civil parish lying in the barony of Ormond Lower.
