The University of Houston System
has three separate and distinct institutions within the city. Each institution is a stand-alone university and confers its own degrees. Its flagship institution is the University of Houston

Admissions into each institution of the University of Houston System is separate, and each institution in the System has distinct admission criteria and requirements.
