, of which it is a municipal unit. Population 3,187 (2001). It borders the Pieria regional unit to the northeast, and the Kozani regional unit to the northwest. The municipality was created under the 1997 Kapodistrias Law by merging Livadi and Dolichi. Livadi is located west of Pythio
