had been established in 1990 and was majority-owned by the Volante company, itself controlled by Niki Lauda
, while the remaining sharers were with Gruppo Ventaglio. On 31 March 2003, Gruppo Ventaglio purchased Volante's share and integrated Lauda Air Italy
with Livingston under the parent company Livingston Aviation Group. It is wholly owned by Viaggi del Ventaglio Group and has 144 employees (at March 2007).
On 9 October 2010, Livingston announced that flights were to be temporarily suspended after ENAC
(Italian Civil Aviation Authority) suspended their licence. The full effect of the suspension will take place from midnight 14 October 2010.

As of 13 May 2009, the average age of the Livingston Energy Flight fleet was 5.7 years.
As of October 2010, Livingston returned to lessors its fleet of A330 and two A321. Also the remaining A321 is due to be returned to the lessor.
