Ljubljana Zoo is a zoo

The zoo, covering 19.6 hectares (48.4 acre), is situated on the southern slope of the Rožnik
hill, in a natural environment of woods and meadows is about a 20 minute walk from the city center. The zoo is notable in that the city is at the intersection of the Alpine, Pannonian and Mediterranean habitats and has 152 species and a total of 580 animals.
It is open daily during the summer from 9:00 to 19:00 and from 9:00 to 16:00 in winter.
Tourists can obtain a Ljubljana Card pass and get a 15 percent discount on accessing the zoo.
They are one of the only places to have one of the last possible Barbary lion otherwise extinct
