Lohorung

Lohorung is a caste descend from Mongols
, in Nepal having their own language, culture and traditional values. The main land for Lohorung is the upper northern part of Arun Nadi or Koshi River in the district of Sankhuwa Sabha in the north eastern of Nepal. But at present, they can be found in nine districts(Nepal is divided in total 75 districts) in Nepal(Sankhuwa Sabha, Ilam, Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, Dhankutta, Terhathum, Lalitpur and Kathmandu). These people are not only in nepal, they are also in the North eastern states of India such as Darjeeling and Kalimpong in West Bengal state, Sikkim and Assam. Lohorung conjugational morphology is described by George van Driem in 1992.
By the time they started to migrate to eastern cities like Dharan, Belbari, Jhapa, Itahari, Tarahara, Gachhiya etc. Even later, migration continued to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu.
