The racial makeup of the town was 97.69% White, 0.38% African American, 0.13% Native American, 1.03% Asian, and 0.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.71% of the population. The population of Long Beach boasts a large number of Irish Catholic descent.
There were 661 households out of which 22.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% were married couples
living together, 4.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.3% were non-families. 25.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.84.
In the town the population was spread out with 19.9% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 14.2% from 25 to 44, 35.2% from 45 to 64, and 25.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females there were 90.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.0 males.

Personal training is an important part of the fitness programs.
