Although it could not match the chart-topping success of "Name" on the rock and pop charts, "Long Way Down" reached #7 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, but only made it halfway up the Modern Rock Tracks chart (#25). It did not reach the pop charts. "Long Way Down" was also part of the soundtrack for the 1996 film Twister.
