This department is not to be confused with the Los Angeles Police Department
which is a separate agency.
As of 2007, GSPD currently employs 112 police officers and over 200 security officers. The department patrols over 400 parks, 72 libraries and 900 municipal buildings. It is the 10th largest law enforcement agency in L.A. County.
