The Los Gatos Observer serves the 30,000 residents of Los Gatos and approximately 30,000 more in neighboring Monte Sereno, Chemeketa Park, Aldercroft Heights, Redwood Estates, and other so-called "mountain communities." The Observer is updated continuously with news articles, event calendars, police reports, sports coverage, obituaries and local photographs. Subscribers can respond and comment on articles and post free community advertisements.

In March 2009, Dallas ended his relationship with the web site and transferred ownership to Boulevards New Media. The website's look was redesigned, though the original site has been kept intact for archival purposes.

As of September 20, 2011, the Los Gatos Observer appears to have ceased publication. The web site now offers a simple username and password form.
