Lost River Cave, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky

in the state. Lost River Cave is owned jointly by Western Kentucky University
and Friends of Lost River, a non-profit organization that works towards preservation of the cave. Previously to the Friends of Lost River organization, Lost River Cave was used as a waste dump and tons of trash were hauled out as one of the first preservation efforts.
Boat tours typically run at the top of each hour. Other attractions at the park include over two miles of nature trails, a butterfly habitat, blue holes, gem mining, and a film about caving.
