Lota Schwager are a Chile
an Football club, their home town is Coronel in Chile. They currently play in 2nd division of Chilean football Primera B
.
In 1969 Lota Schwager won their first championship in professional football under the direction of manager Isaac Carrasco. This earned them a place in Primera Division. They stayed in Primera División between 1970 and 1980. In 1987 they won promotion to the top level, this time under the direction of manager Juan Ganga, but the team were relegated the very next season.
In 1994 the region suffered a mining crisis and the club were disbanded. After 7 years the club were reformed under the control of chairman Bernardo Ulloa. The club started out as an amateur team playing in Tercera División Chilena
. The club won promotion to the 2nd Division at their first attempt, under the direction of manager Eduardo Apablaza.
At the end of the 2006 season the club earned a place in the promotion playoff with Rangers de Talca. They won the tie on penalties, and thus returned to Primera División for the first time in eighteen years, but in 2007 the team newly relegated to the Second Division.

History
The club were formed on January 1, 1966 with the merger of Minas Lota the Federico Schwager teams, from the Concepción Regional Amateur championships. In their first season they finished 9th in the Chilean 2nd division.In 1969 Lota Schwager won their first championship in professional football under the direction of manager Isaac Carrasco.
