Hoover Lee, a long-time citizen, businessman, and government official resides here. His "Hoover Sauce" marinade/BBQ sauce is national renowned. On September 19, 2007, Chris Talbott, of The Associated Press, featured him in a
nationwide article AP. He has been noted in Delta Magazine, Southern Living, Y'all Magazine and recently mentioned in the publication "Wild Abundance", a Cookbook Anthology, compiled by hunters from numerous Hunting Clubs from The South.

Industry

Louise is mostly an agricultural community due in part it has some of the best farming land off of Silver Creek. One of the biggest farms is Seward & Son Planting Company.

Legend And Myth

Legend has it that moonshine runners would take bootlegged liquor in oak kasks and would hide it in old 5 mile lake. Panther Swamp Raceway is located just outside of town along with the famous Shake on The Lake.
