In "Monday", the first day back at work after The Christmas Show of Studio 60, Tom
asks Lucy on a date, to which she accepts. Through issues with NBS, Tom needs to cancel his date with Lucy and lies to her about the reason. She then finds out he lied and eventually they smooth things over and line up to go on another date a few days later instead. Tom and Lucy remain dating.
