Luis Alberto "Beto" Carranza (born 15 June 1972 in Quilmes) is an Argentine
footballer
who plays as a midfielder
for Ceramica Argentina.

where he was part of the squad that won the Apertura 1992
and the Copa de Oro. He played a total of 106 games for the club in all competitions, scoring 13 goals.
Carranza then had a spell with Racing Club's fiercest rivals; Independiente
before joining San Lorenzo
where he became a key player.
In 1997 Carranza had a short spell in Mexico
with Veracruz before returning to Argentina to play for Estudiantes de La Plata
.
In 2000 Carranza played for Peru

Carranza, like the majority of players at Dundee, suffered redundancy in November 2003 but signed for Raith Rovers

in the lower leagues of Argentine football.
