. His good form saw him make his international debut for England Under-18s in their 2–1 win over Slovenia in April 2006.
Daniels spent seven years at Old Trafford before being offered a trial at West Brom. Luke Steele, another young goalkeeper from Manchester United joined Daniels at West Brom as an exchange for United taking the Baggies' first choice keeper Tomasz Kuszczak
on loan. Daniels was an unused substitute in the 2007 Championship play-off Final

on loan for the rest of the 2007–08 season on 25 January 2008, making his debut against Celtic
on 3 May. After returning to West Brom for the summer, he joined Shrewsbury Town on a season loan on 1 August. He shone in Shrewsbury's playoff semi final, second leg against Bury

. His "man of the match" display ensured Shrewsbury a place in the League Two play-off final

After signing a new two-year contract at Albion, Daniels joined Tranmere Rovers
on loan for the 2009–10 season
. On 14 July, it was officially confirmed by Bristol Rovers that Daniels had signed a season-long loan deal after keeping his identity secret for nearly a week. Unfortunately, after sustaining a back injury during pre-season, his loan spell was terminated and he returned to the Hawthorns.
On 17 September, Daniels joined Charlton Athletic
on a 28-day loan after Robert Elliot
suffered an elbow injury that was expected to keep him out for about a month. After his brief spell at The Valley he returned to West Brom before being sent out on loan again on 2 December, this time to Rochdale on an emergency loan after they had lost both their goalkeepers to injury.
On 5 January 2011, Daniels joined Bristol Rovers
on loan until 31 May 2011, and went straight in as first-choice 'keeper replacing Mikkel Andersen
who had returned to Reading
after his loan spell. Daniels made his Rovers debut in the home draw with fellow League One
strugglers Walsall

On 25 October 2011, Daniels was signed on a one-month loan deal by Southend United
to deputise for their first-choice goalkeeper Glenn Morris
, who was ruled out for four weeks with thigh strain. The loan period, which had been due to expire on 26 November was extended by a month, enabling Daniels to play in Southend's FA Cup campaign.
