Lytchett Minster is home to a number of manor houses, one of which now hosts the local Secondary School 'Lytchett Minster School
' which suffered fire damage in 2000. Recent development of the school site, including the building of a car park, has resulted in the loss of many healthy trees. These trees were planted by the Lees family, who were the previous owners of the manor in which the school now resides.
Lytchett Minster is also home to the Bowmen of Lytchett Archery club and Lytchett Minster Rugby Club.
