ME is a hip hop duet composed of Continental T and E-leven. Together they bring a fresh perspective and sound to the wave of new music collectively.
Continental T (Truth), most notably known for his features in numerous mixtapes and for his notorious feature on the Drake, Lil Wayne record leak of "I'm Going In", is no stranger to the music scene. At the age of 14 he began recording himself, writing songs and making beats. Continental T grew up in Raleigh, NC and Houston, TX. Determined to make music his career, he was able to meet many influential people in the music business such as Wes Crockett, Scarface, Mannie Fresh, Sylvia Rhone, "Big Tank," Lenny S, and Sean Garrett, to name a few. This gave him the inspiration and determination to become a great lyricist and songwriter, artist and producer. He released over five mixtapes via internet.
E-leven was born in Lyon, France. He grew up listening to all kinds of music and attending many concerts and shows. He started music at the age of 14, teaching himself over the years the piano, bass, guitar and computer music. E-leven attended the SAE Institute of Paris after his graduation for a year to learn new techniques and skills in audio engineering. At the same time he was doing his first work with Warner Chappell as a composer. With the only wish to make music his career, a strong musical background and self teaching brought him to be a talented composer, producer and artist.
Chosen by Ryan Leslie as a finalist in his creative contest in March 2010, E-leven connected with Continental T who had seen his video entry. Shortly after they connected, they developed a system working together producing records around the clock despite the difference in time zones. For months they made hundreds of records over Skype and got to know each other. This was the beginning of ME.
In July 2010 Continental T flew to Paris and met with E-leven for the first time. They organized a show to showcase their music to an exclusive group of family and friends, this is where they were discovered by the french label Atmospheriques to which they signed in December 2010.
This marked the beginning of their first wide release musical project, recorded between Paris and New York and mixed by Mark Plati, the mixtape "This is M.E" was released on November 8 of 2011.
