In 2001 he started as national junior coach of the Dutch juo federation, among his pupils: Dex Elmont, Jeroen Mooren, Henk Grol. In 2005 he became National Headcoach Men of the Netherlands. In this period (till now): three world champions ( Guillaume Elmont, Dennis van der Geest, Ruben Houkes), 2 bronze medals at Beiijng Olympics (Henk Grol en Ruben Houkes.
