Maatkit is a toolkit for users, developers, and administrators of MySQL
an open-source database. All tools are standalone, with minimal dependencies and no need for installation. You can simply download them and use them. It makes MySQL easier and safer to manage. It provides simple, predictable ways to do things you cannot otherwise do. You can use Maatkit to prove replication is working correctly, fix corrupted data, automate repetitive tasks, speed up your servers, and much more.
Maatkit now ships by default with several GNU/Linux distributions such as CentOS
and Debian
and packages are available for Fedora
and Ubuntu
as well.
Although most of Maatkit’s functionality is designed for MySQL, there is also support for PostgreSQL
and Memcached
