in 1796. He attended the public schools and served as the sheriff of Hillsborough County
in 1845.
Moulton was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1845-March 3, 1847). After leaving Congress, he was a New Hampshire councilor in 1848 and 1849. He also engaged in banking. He died in Manchester, New Hampshire
in 1867 and was buried in Valley Cemetery
