He started his career at FC Den Bosch. He played 107 games for Den Bosch (1994–2001), 9 games for Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen (2001–2002) and 71 games for RBC Roosendaal (2002–2005), and then moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam
