The Eagles won five consecutive state championships in the 1950s and a total of six in the decade. Recently, Maize has also experienced success in the game of ultimate frisbee. They defeated North High School this summer in a not so legendary match played in Sedgwick County Park. This came to the chagrin of many North students and alumni. North claimed that Maize had tainted the rules and had won only because of their home field advanntage. The rematch of Maize vs. North is scheduled for Friday, November 12. The rematch will be held in Sedgwick County Park on the same field that the first match was played.State Championships
