Makaziwe Mandela known as Maki, is the daughter of former South Africa
n president Nelson Mandela
and his first wife Evelyn Ntoko Mase. She was named after her older sister, born in 1947, who died aged just nine months. Of the four children born to Ntoko and Mandela, Makaziwe is the only one still living.
