Floyd started against the Kansas City Chiefs
on January 2 and caught his first NFL touchdown

, Floyd was released on September 3 and re-signed to the practice squad two days later. He spent the first 12 weeks of the season on the Chargers’ practice squad. He was then signed to the main roster on December 7 but remained inactive for the rest of the season.

Floyd attended Wyoming from 1999-2004 while there he majored in health sciences. As a freshman, he redshirted in 1999. Floyd was a First-team all-conference selection by Football News and Sporting News as a sophomore. Floyd finished his career with 186 catches for 2,411 yards and 14 touchdowns.
