The district's public school population of over 5,000 students in kindergarten through twelfth grades is distributed over nine school buildings: there are six elementary schools (grades K-5), a single 6th-grade building, one middle school (grades 7 & 8), and one high school (grades 9-12). study released in January 2009, 29% of Manheim Township High School graduates required remediation in mathematics and or reading before they were prepared to take college level courses in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education
