Manpreet Singh Badal neither has any security cover nor does he use red light. He said: “I am in public life on my own choice and feel no threat to my life from any body”. He had told the police authorities that he did not need static police guards at his residence. The police authorities said, the deployment of static guards there to protect the government property and not for his security. He often drive his own vehicle.

2012 Assembly Elections

Manpreet Badal's Led Sanjha Morcha constituent of Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Longowal) organized a massive rally at Dhidike Village of Moga District to launch Izzat Sambhal Yatra. Izzat Sambhal Yatra will cover all the districts of Punjab before 2012 assembly elections. According to the estimate about 2 Lakh people participated at Impressive rally at killi Chahalan Village. Prominent and famous Punjabi Comedian Bhagwant Maan who recently joined hands with People's Party of Punjab also spoke at this rally. Communist leaders spoke at this rally was CPI state secretary Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal, CPI National Secretary A B Bardhan, Prakash Karat secretary of the CPM. Former Chief Minister of Punjab Surjit Singh Barnala also spoke at this rally. Manpreet Badal is one of the clean and non corrupt leader in the recent history of Punjab Politics.
