. The two members of this act are Brad Roulier and Shawn Sabo, both original members of the leading electronic music download store Beatport.com. The original name for the group was Digitally Manufactured Superstars, however Roulier and Sabo decided to shorten the name to the current Manufactured Superstars for length.

Roulier teamed with Sabo to create the Manufactured Superstars touring act in 2005. Since then, they have performed at major nightclub venues including (but not limited to): Crobar Chicago; Mansion and Suite in Miami; Avalon and Playhouse in Los Angeles; XS Club in Las Vegas; Lavo, Greenhouse and Pacha in New York; Voyeur in San Diego; Beta Nightclub in Denver; and many others. Manufactured Superstars have also performed major outdoor festivals including (but not limited to): Electric Daisy Carnival; Ultra Music Festival; Beatport Pool Party (Miami Music Week); Beyond Wonderland; Lief Festival; Red Rocks/Global Dance Festival, and others.

The Manufactured Superstars aim to play accessible party music when they perform as DJs and are not considered hyper-experimental nor avante garde in style. Their stated goal has been to make audiences dance and have a good time. They are known to play music from (as an example): Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez, Guns 'N Roses, Cyndi Lauper, "hits" from the 1980s and '90's, and so forth. Manufactured Superstars have also been credited with editing a majority of their live DJ set with bootleg and personalized remixes tailored to their sets.

History

About Brad Roulier (aka B-Rad), also co-founder for Beatport.com:
Originally from Denver, Brad first discovered dance music while living in Miami in the 1990s. Roulier later returned to Denver and eventually became a successful nightclub and event promoter in Colorado. Roulier worked with The Church nightclub in Denver, which was subsequently voted "Best Club" two years in-a-row by the Club World Awards, produced by Club Systems International Magazine. Roulier also worked as a promoter at Denver's Club Vinyl.

About Shawn Sabo (aka DJ Sabotage), also former VP marketing for Beatport.com:
Shawn Sabo, a Denver transplant originally hailing from New Jersey, was a drum-and-bass DJ and producer since 1997. Together with D.Ecco, their production partnership earned them headlining spots for drum-and-bass events all over the country. Sabo and Ecco released more than 20 commercial vinyl drum-and-bass releases during this phase.

As a DJ/production team, Roulier and Sabo are known collectively as Manufactured Superstars. Their live DJ style has been described as "mash-up" or "open-format," and the pair are known to have 100 tracks or more during a typical two-hour live set.

As of May-June 2011, Manufactured Superstars release the first single from their forthcoming full-length studio album (as yet untitled), "Take Me Over" on Black Hole. The official music video for the "Take Me Over" single is a professionally shot, lighthearted journey of a typical wild night out in Las Vegas which riffs on the major motion picture, "The Hangover." The nightclub pictured in the "Take Me Over" music video is XS Club at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Additional singles from the forthcoming studio album will be released through the summer and autumn of 2011.

As part of their widely accessible party atmosphere, the Manufactured Superstars are known to have a human M.C. dressed as a stuffed teddy bear onstage during their live shows. The signature costume of the Manufactured Superstars include matching NASA space suits in either orange or white; the bear also wears a matching NASA space suit. One of the props used during Manufactured Superstars' live shows are plastic black rimmed "nerd glasses" without lenses; the fad began at an early Manufactured Superstars show and then became a recurring theme as audiences on later tourdates began appearing at shows wearing said eyeglasses.

In 2011, Booyah Inc. announced that Manufactured Superstars would appear in Booyah's highly successful social networking, GEO-location video game, "Nightclub City: DJ Rivals," as avatars. The Manufactured Superstar avatars act as DJ mentors to players of the Nightclub City: DJ Rivals video game, and music by Manufactured Superstars heard within the game include the tracks, "Angry Circus" and "Drummer Drums." More music by Manufactured Superstars will be added to Booyah's Nightclub City: DJ Rivals game soon. At press time, Nightclub City had more than 20 million active users worldwide and the game ranks among the most popular games on Facebook.

Manufactured Superstars are featured in the media including in: DJ Times Magazine (Testa Communications), Musico Pro Magazine, and coming soon in a documentary film about the Electric Daisy Carnival for theatrical release in August 2011.
