The line 5 station was opened in 1959 under Passeig Maragall, between Carrer Varsòvia and Carrer Mascaró. The curved central platform has a ticket hall at either end, the southern one giving access to the line 4 station. This part, opened in 1982, is a side-platform station located under Ronda Guinardó between Carrer Lluís Sagnier and Carrer del Segle XX, and has one vestibule of its own. The station has a total of 4 accesses. Maragall is due to become part of the central, conjoint section of future lines L9
