Students are required to complete 100 hours of community service before graduating, though students are encouraged to exceed the requirement and may be admitted into the 200+ Club. Eligible volunteer activities range from coaching community sports teams to volunteering with the elderly.
All full time faculty, librarians, and counselors are represented by a labor union and have a collective bargaining agreement with the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The CBA governs the terms of their employment. The labor union's official name is The San Francisco Archdiocesan Federation of Teachers, Local 2240, which is an affiliate of the California Federation of Teachers (AFT, AFL-CIO).

Background
Marin Catholic College Preparatory High School provides its students with curriculum similar to college level, which may help prepare them for higher education. Along with a small range of courses that students may take from the science, language, arts, and math disciplines, students are required to complete a religion class each year. These courses focus on a variety of religious and ethical topics, including morality, scripture, and Bible interpretation.
