in 1980. He then moved to Florida and worked for six years as a design engineer in the defense industry, sepcializing in avionics and satellite communication equipment. In 1986 Mark moved back to Arkansas to work as a design and manufacturing engineer near Fayetteville.
Mark attended the University of Arkansas in 1990 to begin a graduate program in Mechanical Engineering. He specialized in Finite Element Analysis and graduated with his Master's degree in 1992. After graduating, Mark went to work for the University in the Arkansas Center for Technology Transfer in the College of Engineering. In 2005, he joined the Technology Licensing Office and handles various aspects of technology assessment, validation, patenting, marketing and licensing.
