Sports teams

Marshall uses the fictitious Redhawk as its mascot. The former mascot was the Redskin, but it was changed due to respect for Native Americans

and their spiritual beliefs. Marshall High School went a couple of years without a mascot, and then the student body voted in the Spring of 2005 in favor of changing the mascot.
The School is most well known for its football program having won the 1996 class BB state champion ship and were the runner up in class BB in 1997. Their second championship came in 2009, which was a football championship.

Marshall now competes in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference East (SMAC East).
