Martin Maloney practises deliberately "bad" painting, where images (mainly figures) are achieved with apparently inept draughtsmanship and crude painting. Through his expressionistic style, strong colours, and humorous subject matter, Maloney's paintings record everyday experiences and moments of awkward intimacy.
