She made her debut with the Cork junior team that year and made her senior debut in 1978, scoring for Cork in their All Ireland semi-final victory over Clare and scoring three goals in the All Ireland final where she won her first medal in the All Ireland final against Dublin.

Scoring achievements include a goal in the 1980 replay win over Limerick , two goals for Cork in the drawn All Ireland final with Kilkenny , a year in which Cork lost the replay, and a point in 1983 when she won her third All Ireland medal. She retired in 1988, having contested two more All Ireland finals and scored a goal in both the 1987 and 1988 finals. She won National League
