In 2004, Moreno formed his first production company, Films by Candlelight and made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy, Days, which he also wrote & co-starred in. It also included a soundtrack by Kristie Stremel, Exit 159, Jill Stevenson, and Go Betty Go. He also has written and/or directed several short films.

In 2007, Moreno teamed up with fellow actress Jessica Savage to create A FIVE DOLLAR BILL, which has produced the short comedic film Deadbeat and the horror film Avenue A. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.
