On August 17, 2009 Doyle made his solo debut at Joe's Pub in New York City, with a reprisal on August 27.
Doyle recently was cast in the 2011 movie Private Romeo (previously known as "McKinley" and "The Shakespeare Project"), which is expected to hit the film festival circuit in the spring of 2011.

's album titled Our First Mistake. He sings on the tracks "Last Week's Alcohol" and "Two Strangers."
He is currently appearing on Broadway as Billy Narracott (u/s Albert) in War Horse
at Lincoln Center Theater. The role of Albert will be played by Doyle's Private Romeo co-star, Seth Numrich. The show began previews on March 15, 2011, and officially opened on April 14, 2011.
Doyle's debut EP, entitled Daylight, was released on 24 May 2011.
