Matt McDougall is an American soccer player and coach. He is currently a goalkeeper
for the Stockton Cougars of the Professional Arena Soccer League
and an assistant coach for the Sacramento State Hornets soccer team.
McDougall grew up in Sacramento, California
, playing soccer at Jesuit High School. He attended Sacramento State University where he played soccer from 2001 to 2005. He redshirted 2002, but was named captain in 2003. In 2006, he played for the Stockton Pumas in the Premier Arena Soccer League
. In October 2006, he signed with the California Cougars
in the Major Indoor Soccer League. In 2008, MISL folded and the Cougars became a founding member of the Professional Arena Soccer League
. The team also changed its name to the Stockton Cougars. In 2006, McDougall played for the Sacrmento Knights
in the fourth division National Premier Soccer League
