. He competes mainly in slalom. He is the younger brother of Janette Hargin.

At the 2009 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships he finished 5th in the slalom.

In January 2011 Hargin did a strong comeback from hardly reaching the second run in the Zagreb slalom, finishing the first run at 30th place, and beating everyone in the second run to reach the podium (3rd place), his best result in the FIS World Cup.
