Mavenlink was founded in 2008 by Ray Grainger, Sean Crafts, and Roger Neel. The three saw a gap in workforce collaboration tools available for organizations and service providers to effectively manage projects in one central place. In addition, they wanted to create an online workplace where one can expand the human cloud and their trusted networks to locate talent that can handle virtually any kind of project.The beta version was launched in April 2009 and the full version was released in January 2010.
