Mayfield Salisbury Church is a product of the union between the (now demolished) Fountainhall Church, and Salisbury Church (which itself was the result of a merger between Mayfield Church and Salisbury Church). The former Mayfield Church building is used by the present congregation.

The minister (since 2000) is the Reverend Scott McKenna. A previous minister (of Mayfield Church) was the Very Reverend Dr. William Macdonald, a former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland

The roll as at December 31 2004 was 750 with a further 45 on the Supplementary Roll.

Since March 2006 Mayfield Salisbury Church has been organised under the Church of Scotland "Unitary" form of constitution, with a Kirk Session but without a congregational board.
