Mayumi Wakamura is a Japan
ese actress. She decide to be an actress at age sixteen when she saw a stage show which was made by a famous professional actor's stage production. Later she joined his stage production to be an actress. In February, 2004, she was married to a religious group "Shakusonkai" (釈尊会) leader Kanehiro Ono.
She debuted at a six month TV series in 1987 in a Japanese government-owned TV station.
She was twenty one then.
After the show, she started appearing on other TV shows including several TV movies and series. Then in 1988 she was cast in a drama Kigakaikyo. She played a young prostitute. In the drama she was briefly topless.
