History

It was founded by Samuel Bowyer and his wife Sarah, presumably about 1886. Original title Boyertaun. Name the city - Mazeppa gave the teacher Clement Edmunds in 1886, taking it from the works of "Mazeppa" Lord Byron. In 1788 the city was built the first mill, which functioned until 1981. Mazeppa passes through the town highway number 1001.
