 each spring on a rugged, ten-mile (16 km) loop course. All three races are run concurrently. The 100 miles (160.9 km) ultra is the only one held in Illinois. The 150 miles (241.4 km) ultra, first held in 2007, is the only 150 miles (241.4 km) race in the United States

The loop course is primarily a single lane footpath, through natural countryside including forests and meadows. Each ten-mile (16 km) loop provides approximately 1600 feet (487.7 m) of elevation gain.

The next edition will take place April 10-12, 2009. A thirty mile run, part of the event through 2006, was replaced by a 150 miles (241.4 km) option beginning in 2007.
