Mead School District No. 354 is a public school district located north of Spokane, Washington
. Over 9,000 students attend the 14 schools in the district which consists of 2 high schools, an alternative high school, 2 middle schools, 8 elementary schools, and the Five Mile School House. The Superintendent of the Mead School District is Dr. Thomas Rockefeller, who took office on July 1, 2006.
Mt. Spokane and Mead are both successful in music and sports in both state and national competitions. The students of each high school consider the other as a rival.

2004 bond
As a result of the $37.7M bond passed by voters in 2004, the Mead School District has started numerous projects to enhance learning district-wide. The enhancements include the installation of Multimedia LCD Projectors in every classroom in the district, wireless internet access in classrooms, and the purchase of several Computers-on-Wheels (COWS).Construction projects
